Venues

Over the French territory, about 15 to 20 venues program jazz exclusively or regularly, and lots of other venues host jazz concerts from time to time (e.g. subsidised large theatres, that often schedule fusion or groovy bands). Paris has a rich traditional jazz life, and the rest of the country usually has one main jazz venue per large or medium city. As mentioned earlier, a lot of festivals also schedule concerts during the year, and some of them have their own venue.
