Artists from EU countries and Schengen Area can work without visa in The Netherlands which is part of the Schengen Area.
For comprehensive information on visas and forms for third country national artists travelling to the Schengen Area a useful publication has been developed by Live Performance Europe (PEARLE) and the European Festival Organization that is frequently updated. It is called: What you didn’t know about Europe – The Ultimate Cookbook for Cultural Managers:

The same webpage also offers links to other guides that deal with VAT and copyright for live events.
The BIM, Dutch union for improvising and jazz-musicians, recommends a performance fee of 300 euro per person with a minimum of 250 Euros. Groups that are larger than six persons should be paid a minimum of at least 150 euros each.
