The jazz scene in Iceland is small and there aren't many people working in the music business in general, especially when it comes to jazz. So all the work is usually in the musician's hands. Artists release records themselves, organise concerts and tours themselves etc. But here are a few commercial parties:
Album database
Since a lot of the album releases are independent, this database was created to get an overview of Icelandic jazz releases. It shows albums from 1938 – 2021
Dreifir
Dreifir is a digital music distribution, focusing on distributing Icelandic artists.
Tónastöðin
Tónastöðin is a music store in Reykjavík. Sheet music by some jazz artists can be bought there.
