Festivals

At the last count in Italy despite recent reductions there were more than 150 jazz festivals, mostly in the summer. They are not distributed evenly as in the South keeping them going proved more difficulty while in the North all major cities now re-entered the festival scene in force. The selection has been based on international relevance, history, artistic merit, geographic distribution and special significance.
