Turner Sims Southampton has announced a packed season of events for Spring 2023, with plenty of incredible jazz. Artists returning with fresh music from new albums include 2022 Mercury Prize-nominated Fergus McCreadie (Forest Floor), trailblazing Australian trio Trichotomy (To Vanish), and Neil Cowley with music from his latest release Battery Life. Pianist Zoe Rahman performs with an 8-piece, stellar line-up, Julian Siegel brings his hand-picked, all-star band and music from Tales from the Jacquard, and Ray d’Inverno, one of Southampton’s most celebrated musicians, celebrates his 80th birthday by performing with his quintet Quintessential Groove, alongside special guests. Newcomers include multi-award-winning young saxophonist and composer Emma Rawicz, and extraordinary jazz vocalist Georgia Cécile, tipped as ‘One To Watch’ by Wonderland Magazine and Jazz FM.
