2026 marks a special milestone for Stadtgarten Köln as we celebrate our 40th anniversary. Since opening its doors on 4 September 1986, Stadtgarten has grown into one of Europe's leading venues for creative and improvised music.

On 4 September 2026, we invite audiences to celebrate this anniversary with Night of Stadtgarten – a special anniversary festival featuring exclusive lineups that reflects the diversity of today’s music scene—and of Stadtgarten itself. With free admission and performances by artists including Arve Henriksen & Stian Westerhus, Lucia Cadotsch, Selendis Johnson, Rebekka Salomea, Neue Grafik and many more, the evening not only celebrates the venue's remarkable history but also looks ahead to the future of creative music. The same spirit continues at the afterparty, where selected DJ collectives will keep the dancefloor moving into the early hours.
