Greetings from Oslo Jazz Festival!

Oslo Jazz Festival will take place in Oslo from Sunday August 11th til Saturday August 17th, and we couldn’t be more proud of our programme. The legendary band Masqualero will open the festival with their first concert in many years, at The Norwegian Opera and Ballet on Sunday August 11th. The demand for live performances from this legendary band has been immense over the past 30 years. We are therefore very excited to experience Masqualero's music on stage again, featuring Arild Andersen, Nils Petter Molvær, Jon Balke, Tore Brunborg, and with Gard Nilssen on drums.

We also have a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the classic Keith Jarrett album Belonging, played by Hanna Paulsberg, Vigleik Storaas, Trygve Fiske and Hans Hulbækmo. That is going to be spectacular.

We have a strong and varied programme, featuring Marcos Valle, Maria Kannegaard Trio, Emmet Cohen Trio, Tigran Hamasyan, Ola Kvernberg & Kristiansand Symfoniorkester, Irreversible Entanglements, Arooj Aftab, Vieux Farka Touré, and the list goes on. Check out our programme on, or even better come to Oslo and experience the festival and music in full!
