mjf soundcheck is for musicians who want space to try out new things and be supported to grow creatively. The process is simple – Manchester based artists, aged 18-25, apply with a musical idea that they want to develop and mjf help them to achieve that, through 1-1 meetings, artist mentorship, and introductions to other inspiring industry professionals, providing you with a tailored recommended playlist and encouraging you to meet other musicians. By the end of the 8-week programme artists will showcase a short new piece of music that reflects their learning! Artists do not need to be jazz musicians merely interested in working in this way.
