The Jazz Cave Festival returns on 2–5 July 2026 with a new international edition set across some of Romania’s most unique cultural spaces.

Organised by UCIMR – The Romanian Union of Performing Musicians, a public utility non-profit organisation founded in 1995 and dedicated to supporting artists and developing cultural projects nationally and internationally, the festival takes place in Vâlcea County, featuring concerts in the spectacular underground setting of Ocnele Mari Salt Mine, the open-air stage in Zăvoi Park (Râmnicu Vâlcea), and the Art Museum of Râmnicu Vâlcea, where “Her Voice” series will be dedicated exclusively to female voices in contemporary jazz.

With an audience expected to exceed 8,000 participants, The Jazz Cave Festival continues to position itself as one of the most distinctive jazz experiences in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together music, heritage and immersive cultural environments.

The 2026 lineup includes international and emerging artists such as Simin Tander - “The Wind”, Olivia Trummer Trio, Atlantico Project led by Enzo Favata, Chris Cheek Quartet, Roger Correa Quartet, Nightlosers, Marquis Collective, Romanian Youth Jazz Orchestra, Advantage Project, Adrian Nour, Anita Petruescu and many more.

The festival’s concept focuses on creating a multisensory audience experience by connecting contemporary jazz with unconventional locations, nature and cultural heritage.
