South African singer-songwriter Bongeziwe Mabandla stands out for his supple voice, moving effortlessly from deep tones to a velvety falsetto. Based in Johannesburg, he is known for a blend of afro-folk, soul, and electronica. Mabandla sings mainly in Xhosa, one of the official languages of South Africa and Zimbabwe.
