During this year’s edition of Sounds of Denmark (the Danish showcase festival in the UK) 3 bands played for packed venues in London and Southampton, reminding everyone that Danish jazz is back in full effect and claiming a spot on the British jazz scene.

Sounds of Denmark 2022 took place on September 14-16 and this year it was with the two venue partners: Turner Sims in Southampton and the legendary Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho, London. During the three day festival, the audience was presented to some of the top acts on the Danish jazz scene: Pernille Bévort’s trio Bévort 3, RKDIA (Anton Eger and Morten Schantz) and Svaneborg Kardyb.

Sounds of Denmark is a collaboration between JazzDanmark, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Turner Sims and Sue Edwards Management.
