AIE, with more thant 23.000 members in Spain, is the overall entity for musicians and performing artists. It has has offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. Pursuant to the provisions of the Law on Intellectual Property, AIE manages the intellectual property rights of music performers.
AIE is a collective, manages the rights of music performers in Spain and in the rest of Europe, in Latin America and the Caribbean, the US, Asia and in all countries and regions of the world where the intellectual property rights of musicians are ensured and applied.
AIE holds 85 reciprocity agreements, currently in force, with sister societies worldwide.
ORGANISM
The Instituto Cervantes is the public institution created by Spain in 1991 to universally promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish and to contribute to the dissemination of Hispanic cultures abroad. It is present in 88 cities in 45 countries, through its centers, classrooms and extensions, on the five continents. Among its objectives one is the organization of cultural activities in collaboration with other Spanish and Latin American organizations and with entities from the host countries.

The SGAE Foundation exists, therefore, to fulfill a clear purpose: to contribute to the authorship to experience positive changes in the conditions in which it takes place, facilitating both its development in the whole sector of culture and cultural industries as well as contact with the public and society, as well as its presence beyond our borders. In this way, the effects of the work of the SGAE Foundation will not only be found in the field of authorship, but in the entire professional cultural sector and in society itself.
