BOZAR

Bozar is a welcoming and dynamic arts house with a beating heart in Brussels. We provide a platform for artists from Belgium and the wider world. Victor Horta's art deco building is akin to a living body, in which we encourage the free circulation of visual arts, music, film, performances and ideas. Bozar aims to be a vibrant space for the living arts.

Bozar produces & presents yearly +/- 250 musical events, representing nearly 350 individuel concerts. A yearly jazz series of a 25 events (+/- 40 concerts) illustrates the ambition of the centre to play a significant role for jazz and to be an ambassador for the genre in Belgium and worldwide.

We produce new collaborations and residencies with artists while we try to bridge, as part of a strategic artistic choice, the gap with artists of other genres. Mainly the more & more fluid link between the impro and the electronic scene is something that Bozar is really interested in.

Bozar just opened a new hall, a club setting (400p, standing) which gives us even more possibilities to present new music and to develop improvised music for a new and younger audience
