First ZENITH AWARD winners Trio Heinz Herbert - 2020 Tour Availability

We recently announced the winner of the very first EJN Zenith Award for emerging artists in collaboration with the 12 Points Festival. Trio Heinz Herbert from Zurich, Switzerland, were unanimously selected by an ad hoc EJN Jury from the 12 bands participating at the 2019 edition of the 12 Points Festival, held at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam last September. The band is now available for tour dates in 2020. Full details below.

The Zenith Award

So much of the work we do across the network revolves around artists, and, in particular emerging talents. Each year, The Zenith Award aims to celebrate one European band which is deserving of wider recognition and acclaim.

The Jury who selected the first Zenith Award winner was composed of Pierre Dugelay (Le Périscope, France), Annamaija Saarela (G Livelab Tampere, Finland), Trude Storheim (Vossa Jazz, Norway), Wim Wabbes (Handelsbeurs, Belgium), Edin Zubcevic (JazzFest Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina) and Kenneth Killeen (Improvised Music Company, Ireland).

We encourage you to listen to this band or ask colleagues who have seen them live about them.
