This August, M/House of Jazz continues to spotlight Riga as an active meeting point for new talent, jazz education, and international musical dialogue.

The month is led by Young & Talented, a concert-based competition for emerging jazz musicians taking place on Wednesday evenings throughout July and August, where the next generation presents its work to audiences and industry professionals.

Looking ahead to September, we are also bringing back Jazz for Kids, a regular Saturday programme designed to introduce young listeners and families to jazz through live music, creativity, and the freedom of improvisation.

M/House of Jazz also continues the third season of its Brooklyn Jazz concert series, dedicated to reimagining jazz legacies through contemporary Latvian and international musicians. Live concert recordings from previous Brooklyn Jazz seasons are available on Latvia’s national radio station LR3 Klasika, accompanied by short artist interviews, extending the life of these concerts beyond the stage and into the wider cultural archive.
