Jazzkaar Festivals’ annual Christmas Jazz festival takes place in Tallinn and other cities across Estonia from November 30th until December 15th. This year’s headliners are legendary trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (USA), performing their Big Band Holidays programme for the first time in Estonia. The lineup also includes Norwegian jazz pianist Tord Gustavsen, Michelle David & The True-tones (USA–Netherlands) and Swiss duo LEVITATION, featuring Stefan Rusconi and Tobias Preisig. The programme also includes special projects by Estonian artists – Alika presents a jazz interpretation of Amy Winehouse’s music, while New Wind Jazz Orchestra, Susanna Aleksandra, Karmen Rõivassepp, Marianne Leibur and Heldur Harry Põlda pay tribute to Estonian music legend Marju Kuut on her 80th anniversary. The programme also features Robert Jürjendal, Iris Oja, Raun Juurikas, Hans Christian Aavik, Karoliina Aavik, Jana Kütt and Sten-Olle.
