Early in September our club Nasjonal jazzscene Victoria in Oslo, together with Porgy & Bess in Vienna, was assigned the 2020 EJN Award for Adventurous Programming  It was with great pride we received and could share these fantastic news. We are very happy to have been recognized for our work, and it will serve as a great inspiration in our future work. We will of course continue to present thrilling programming and exciting concerts.

The Norwegian health authorities have since May set rules that allow Nasjonal jazzscene to stay open with a reduced audience capacity, and since this summer we have hosted more than 40 concerts. Our program will continue until Christmas and will feature great Norwegian jazzbands like Cortex, Emmeluth’s Amoeba, Nils Økland Band, Sky Music – a celebration of Terje Rypdal, Eple Trio, Eyolf Dale Trio, Susanna Wallumrød, Mathias Eick, Hanna Paulsberg Concept, Wako, Trondheim Jazzorkester & Johan Lindvall, Maria Kannegaard Trio and many more.

At Victoria the audience is guaranteed a seat with plenty of space around it, and a improved comfort with bar orders and payment handled on their own smartphone and drinks brought to the table. Our full program, with music and videos, can be found here: nasjonaljazzscene.no
