This year's Trondheim Jazzfestival will take place from 10 - 19th May, where we will present several brand new commissions with Elisabeth Lid Trøen - New Paintings of Jazz, Espen Berg - Water Fabric, Per Borten/Petter Kraft - Cobra Kraft, Erlend Skomsvoll w/ the TSO choir & Hildegunn Øiseth, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten/Paal Nilssen-Love - Guts and Skins Octet and Eirik Havnes/Lars Ove Fossheim - Alt som lever skal dø.
Some other highlights: Jan Garbarek Group feat. Trilok Gurtu will hold the official opening concert on May 11th, Patti Austin sings Ella Fitzgerald with Trøndelag Big Band, Cyrille Aimée, Fieh, Anna Webber with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Tineke Postma, and Starlight Big Band with Kathrine Windfeld.
