At a time when division is all too often the order of the day, music can and must be a powerful instrument of unity. This year's motto, Jazz not war!, encapsulates the message of Spoleto Jazz 2025, which is a statement of principle and an invitation to peace. By its very nature, jazz is dialogue and an antidote to discord. It is a music that has always broken down borders, creating bridges between cultures and turning differences into strengths.
Get ready to be blown away by the incredible talent of Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio, as she performs her soulful masterpiece, Redemption, on 10 October. The festival will draw to a close on 22 November, when Alfredo Rodriguez's masterful piano playing will transport you to the vibrant world of Cuban music.
