The 23rd edition of OFFest will take place from June 6th to 9th in Skopje, Macedonia, presenting eight concerts and two documentary film screenings. The scheduled line-up is fresh, geographically diverse, and exciting, probably the strongest in years. The festival will be opened by two big names in African music: BOMBINO, one of the key representatives of the globally celebrated "desert blues", and the South African stars BCUC, known for their Afro-psychedelic trance and impressive live performances. The delicious mix of influences from Melanesian, Indian, African, and European folk to improvised music by the Dutch sextet BOI AKIH, combined with the original and powerful sound of the French-Ethiopian super-group KUTU, creates а perfect festival night for music connoisseurs and aficionados. VICENTE AMIGO is considered the successor to the legendary composer and flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía. With two Grammy awards, accompanied by top-class musicians, he will make us enjoy the music and personal compositions that have made Vicente Amigo a reference in flamenco guitar today. OFF-Fest 2024 will be completed with three outstanding European ensembles: the furious Polish string quintet VOŁOSI with their original mix of rock, jazz, ethno, ambient, and film music, the rising Macedonian neo-folk band KALATA, as well as the renowned Serbian world music collective NAKED. In addition to the main festival program, two great documentary films will be premiered within the pre-festival Programme Plus: "Cesária Évora" and "Agadez, the Music and the Rebellion".
