Could this be a new supergroup? Maybe. The debut concert of this Polish-Norwegian foursome - they don't have a band name (yet) - sounded pretty exciting on the opening night of this year's PUNKT festival. Polish saxophonist Maciej Obara and Norwegian bassist Ole Morten Vågan have been playing together on and off for a few years now, but this was their first quartet with Norwegians Anja Lauvdal (keyboards) and young Veslemøy Narvesen (drums). And how four creative spirits go in search of sound on the stage of the Teateret, how they conjure a musical flow out of fragmentary elements that always sounds fresh and imaginative - it was a lot of fun to listen to.
