This compact indoor festival is fully dedicated to Dutch jazz and highlights the Netherlands as one of Europe’s most innovative jazz scenes. Following a successful debut, the festival continues to grow as a key national platform.

Three Days, One Clear Vision

  • Friday (Oct 2): Focus on strong artistic identities and intergenerational collaboration, featuring Eric Vloeimans’ Hotspot, a trio with Reinier Baas, Ben van Gelder and Han Bennink, as well as Hermine Deurloo & Erik Verwey and Artvark Saxophone Quartet.
  • Saturday (Oct 3): Showcasing the full stylistic diversity of the scene with artists such as the Michiel Borstlap Trio, Benjamin Herman, Fay Claassen Quartet, Guy Salamon Group, and more. The day concludes with an adventurous club night curated by Space Is the Place.
  • Sunday (Oct 4): A free program dedicated to emerging talent, with showcase performances across Utrecht in collaboration with injazz.

A Platform for Today’s Dutch Jazz
Orange Jazz Days brings together established names and new voices, spanning acoustic jazz to hybrid forms with electronics and hip-hop influences. The festival emphasizes both national strength and international positioning, supported by collaborations with Buma Cultuur – injazz and the presence of international professionals.

With a strong focus on musicians, fair working conditions, and high-quality production, TivoliVredenburg aims to support a sustainable future for jazz artists. The success of the first edition confirmed the need for a powerful platform that presents Dutch jazz in all its diversity.
