Oslo is waiting for snow. We are now in the strange interim of seasons where one day everything is frozen, and the next the jacket its too warm. But soon the white magic will make everything beautiful and full of new opportunities. Not in least to go inside to our warm and cozy club to experience the best jazz has to offer!
We are looking forward to a fantastic winter and spring concert program of both international and Norwegian greats. Our opening is as strong as it gets, Nils Petter Molvær and Daniel Herskedal as a duo for the first time! These two prominent musicians come from two generations, but there is a lot in the aesthetics and philosophy about music that make the two close. It will be wonderful to hear these two lift each other up!
Then follows a string of fantastic musicians, food for both the mind and hearts. Beady Belle, Marc Ribot, Tord Gustavsen Trio, The Art of the Quartet, Brandee Younger Trio, Bugge Wesseltoft/Arild Andersen/Gard Nilssen, Wolfgang Muthspiel feat. Brian Blade & Scott Colley, Nduduzo Makhathini Trio, Mathias Eick, Steven Bernstein Sexmob, Yazz Ahmed Quartet, Hedvig Mollestad Weejuns, Elephant9, The Necks, Hanna Paulsberg - Belonging, John Scofield & Gerald Clayton...the list goes on!
