__ATOM™ live a/v _______

(Rather-Interesting, Raster-Noton / GER)

+ opening live set TBA

Atom™, Uwe Schmidt's main stage name, is one of the most adventurous experimenters in today's electronic music. In more than 30 years of career, his figure has been linked to numerous pseudonyms and as many worlds of sound, without ever stopping his journey in ever-changing directions. The meeting of Düsseldorf-school techno-pop with the abstract techno offspring of glitch celebrated in Atom™'s saga represents today's core in his odyssey, which over the years has kept intact his interest in future-leaning experimentation and a spirit challenging mainstream taste.

___THOMAS BRINKMANN live a/v___

(Max Ernst, Traum Schallplatten, Third Ear/ GER)

+ opening live set TBA

German producer Thomas Brinkmann is one of the most innovative sound experimenters of the past two decades on the minimal techno scene. Anti-star par excellence, Brinkmann has influenced the career of entire generations of techno musicians. Countless productions and remixes have been attributed to him and his several pseudonyms, often conceived using unique metodologies, such as pieces remixed with a record-player where Brinkmann added a second stylus; or a whole work made and produced by using vinil records he cut and altered, containing various effects.

Thursday April 12, 2018 @T Fondaco dei Tedeschi – Venice (7pm)

(ECM Records / NOR)

Back on the Nørdic Frames stage is drummer/percussionist/composer Thomas Strønen, an outstanding musician on the Norwegian and Scandinavian jazz scenes. He   performs with his British-Norwegian ensemble, "Time is a Blind Guide." Side by side with the drums and percussion of the band leader, on stage are Ayumi Tanaka on piano, Håkon Aase on violin, Leo Svensson Sander cello and Ole Morten Vågan on bass, a band considered by world critics as a real change for the Norwegian   percussionist, both as a composer and as a band leader. Many of Strønen's diverse musical influences converge in this project: jazz,  minimalism, traditional Norwegian music, and Japanese and Indonesian music.
