Jazzkaar Festivals’ annual Christmas Jazz festival is taking place in various cities in Estonia from 25th of November to 15th of December. Our this years headliners are jazz legends Dave Holland, Zakir Hussain, Chris Potter with their ensemble Crosscurrents Trio and a powerful vocalist Lady Blackbird (USA). The lineup also includes international talents such as Veronica Swift (USA), Kit Downes (UK) and Alfredo Rodriquez (CU), as well as Estonian musicians – soul princess Rita Ray will celebrate the 5th birthday of her massively successful debut album “Old Love Will Rust”, conductor and musician Siim Aimla presents his music alongside Estonian Dream Big Band, MUBA vocal ensemble and singer Marianne Leibur. The festival ends with a big special project “Zappa!” where Ludensemble XL, local indie-superstars Vaiko Eplik & Valter Soosalu and conductor Kaspar Mänd pay tribute to the legendary Frank Zappa.
