We are thrilled to invite you to this edition of Intl Jazz Platform exceptionally organised in Amsterdam as part of the Better Live project. For 12 years we’ve been creating a community of young artists across Europe who share similar musical interests and who constantly expand their artistic horizons. Intl Jazz Platform has long years' experience in Poland and Norway behind it, but this will be the first edition organized in Amsterdam together with Bimhuis. This new adventure will feature 20 musicians based in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Ireland. You will come together to share experiences and draw inspiration from the mentors and professionals present. You will also be offered moments of reflection on social issues impacting the sector with exciting experts. It’s a time of intense work, personal exchanges with our musical heroes, but also an opportunity to listen to concerts of ground-breaking artists, establish new friendships and meet promoters from around Europe. All of this to feed you with inspiration that will motivate you to keep creating and to keep exploring.
This year, young artists from all over Europe will work and create music with our mentors, top representatives of the European improvised music scene, whose work we follow and admire: Greetje Bijma (vocals), Otis Sandsjö (tenor sax) and Gard Nilssen (drums).
