Original jazz from Ukraine meets experimental sound across Sweden, Denmark and Poland
A vibrant musical journey with the Ruslan Bolatov Trio, one of Ukraine’s most compelling contemporary jazz ensembles, will be joined by experimental sound artist Insomnia Taxxi. Blending original compositions with jazz, funk, classical, and folk influences, the trio delivers an electrifying performance full of identity, groove, and emotion.
Led by Crimean-born pianist and composer Ruslan Bolatov, the trio features Oleksandr Murenko (drums) and Mykola Kisteniov (bass) — three virtuosos united by a dynamic musical vision rooted in tradition and driven by innovation.
Special guest Insomnia Taxxi (Iryna Novikova), Kyiv-born and Sweden-based, adds her signature cinematic and experimental touch. Her dark ambient soundscapes, electronic textures, and conceptual visuals create an immersive dimension to the performance.
