Generator Sztuki Foundation from Szczecin bustling with activity

Generator Sztuki Foundation is a relatively new actor on the local and regional scene with a steady growing activity in the recent months.

After finishing this year’s edition of the Jazz Generator Festival with Walt Weiskopf Quartet (concert and masterclass), the focus shifted towards a ”Jazz For Kids” project. It is a story telling project about friendship and collaboration through music including jazz improvisations engaging kids in singing and dancing along. The Foundation partnered with local culture institutions, which allowed reaching a vast number of families with kids who gave positive feedback to the project. The initial fantastic response gives a promise for more activities in that field in the future.

Szczecin – a hometown of the Foundation – celebrates the 80th anniversary of the end of the WWII so the Foundation prepared a concert coming up Dec 7th that highlights songs from the years after the war in new arrangements through collaboration with Jazz and Music Production Department of the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
