Gunhild Carling - called the queen of Swedish swing - is an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and singer whose concerts are not only surprising, but also very entertaining. Carling will perform at Pori Jazz festival's opening concert on 7th of July in Pori and arrives at G Livelab Tampere to perform together with Pori Jazz All Stars band on 8th of July!

14.7. Linda Fredriksson Juniper
Linda Fredriksson Juniper - one of Europe's most hyped jazz acts of recent years - performs live at G Livelab Tampere in Summer 2023! Fredriksson, best known from the ranks of Mopo and Superposition, released their debut solo album Juniper in 2021 with universal acclaim. At heart, "Juniper" is a "singer-songwriter album", performed by an instrumental jazz band, featuring Tuomo Prättälä on keys and synths, Mikael Saastamoinen on bass and Olavi Louhivuori on drums.

Formed on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970s Dr. Feelgood remains one of the most popular and exciting live rhythm and blues acts in the world. The raw and uncompromising style of their performance resulted in the album Stupidity that immediately went to the number one position in the U.K. charts.

“Junnu” Aaltonen. Their collaborative album PLOP & JUNNU was awarded an Emma prize for the best jazz album of 2022.

SIMRIT is creating waves with packed theaters and concert halls, chart-topping albums, and raving fans world-wide, powering a palpable musical movement. Transcending genres with their eclectic and eccentric blend of instruments and lineages, the SIMRIT experience is based around lead singer-songwriter, Simrit Kaur, born in Athens, Greece and adopted by Greek Americans into South Carolina. Traditional Greek music, Roots Reggae, Motown among many others, have proven deeply influential as Simrit has unlocked her own unique sound.

This is the Finnish premiere of Anders Jormin’s big band compositions. Jormin is a legendary Swedish bassist and ECM recording artist. In addition to Jormin, Sointi Jazz Orchestra is reinforced with singer-cellist Anni Elif.

The legendary accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen has worked with sound and searched for new colours with his instrument for the past 30 years. UZone project takes this to a new level: Pohjonen plays melody, harmony, rhythms, controls different effects and sculpts the sound in the space. He even controls the visuals and lights with his accordion.

19.10. Ben Granfelt 60th Anniversary Tour
Ben Granfelt and his Stratocaster turn 60 this year and celebrate the occasion at G Livelab! He’s also releasing his 20th solo work “Gratitude”, which is a tribute to Gary Moore, Jeff Beck and Robin Trower. Granfelt is joined on stage by Masa Maijanen (bass), Jari Salminen (drums) and Miika Aukio (keys).
