Fora do Centro by Sons da Lusofonia

Fora do Centro is a web series of live concert sessions produced by Associação Sons da Lusofonia (ASL), with the aim of amplifying the voices of emerging music artists from Lisbon. The series highlights both the city's sonic and geographic diversity, also featuring talents from different diasporic backgrounds. Each episode invites one music project to perform three original compositions, recorded in both video and audio formats, both released in all music platforms by ASL with a proper promo kit.

After presenting Fidju Kitxora, Cynthia Perez, and Sibel & Gülami in the initial episodes, the fourth performance — released in July — features Razy, a singer-songwriter whose work fuses soul, jazz, and blues with deep African heritage. Born to a Cape Verdean mother and an Angolan father, Razy is currently studying at the Hot Clube Jazz School and took part in Jazzopa, ASL’s creative laboratory, in 2024.

This year, she debuted her own quintet, a project that merges rhythm and lyricism, exploring themes of identity, social consciousness, and love, wrapped in a contemporary blend of influences inspired by 1970s African-American music.
