November 5, 2025 – Flagey

On November 5, Flagey and Listen Festival invite you to experience two extraordinary artists in a double bill (1 ticket, 2 concerts).

New York vocalist ganavya, with roots in South India, presents Nilam (2025, Leiter), her brand-new album produced by Nils Frahm. Blending spiritual traditions with jazz, she creates an intimate, powerful sound. Her voice — often compared to that of Arooj Aftab for its ethereal rawness and emotional depth — carries a rare intensity. Together with her band, she offers a live performance full of serenity and connection, where her richly layered songs unfold. Nilam, produced by Nils Frahm, follows her widely acclaimed Daughter of a Temple. The New York Times describes her music as “feels like a prayer… with listeners hanging on her every word.”

With the gentle rallying cry “Don’t forget you’re precious”, Alabaster DePlume returns to Flagey after his widely praised 2023 concert. The London-based saxophonist, poet, and “anti-cynic” brings A Blade Because a Blade is Whole (2025, International Anthem), hailed by Pitchfork as “a serene reminder of what really matters.” His music — balancing spiritual jazz, folk, and performance poetry — breathes both tenderness and rage. On stage, he is a “heart-on-sleeve connector” (The Observer), putting improvisation, vulnerability, and community at the core. As NPR writes, he is “a fixture on the London avant-jazz scene whose greatest value is openness.”

Alabaster DePlume is back — and you will feel it.
