Danish Artists ready for Jazzahead 2026

Denmark jazz will have a strong presence at Jazzahead in 2026. There will be Danish jazz in the festival’s official showcase program, and three Danish ensembles have now been selected for Jazz Danmark’s own Danish Clubnight 2026.

Every year, Jazzahead gathers an international audience of bookers, journalists, and jazz enthusiasts from around the world. Since 2014, Jazz Danmark has hosted a Danish night at the fair, which takes place on Friday at Lila Eule - one of Bremen’s historic jazz venues.

Kathrine Windfeld Sextet (Danish Clubnight)
Kathrine Windfeld’s music is celebrated internationally for its vibrant balance of elegance, energy, and rhythmic inventiveness. The sextet consists of Scandinavian and Polish musicians who elevate the compositions with virtuosic precision and a strong collective drive.

Nana Rashid (Jazzahead! Showcase)
One of the strongest Danish jazz voices on today’s international scene is Aarhus-born Nana Rashid. Grounded in Rashid’s powerful vocals the melancholy of Nordic jazz meets the raw honesty of neo-soul. She performed at the Danish Clubnight in 2024, and has now been selected for the festival’s official showcase program on a major stage.

Nausia (Danish Clubnight)
Copenhagen-based Nausia play a potent mix of doom, krautrock, and spiritual jazz. Their latest release, “Finding A Circle” (Vasen, 2025), explores the meeting point between improvisational music, hypnotic repetitions, free forms and a melodic sensibility that could have been drawn from the Danish folk song tradition.

Sinne Eeg & Jacob Christoffersen (Danish Clubnight)
Acclaimed singer Sinne Eeg and versatile pianist Jacob Christoffersen will present their newly released album “Shikiori”. Their music is both calm and spontane, moving elegantly between standards, original compositions, and Japanese-inspired soundscapes, all interpreted with effortless virtuosity by the two artists.
