From 5 to 11 September 2026, Cologne Jazzweek returns for its sixth edition. The festival brings together Cologne’s music scene with European developments and global perspectives in contemporary jazz.

This year’s featured artists are US multi-instrumentalist Sam Gendel, performing solo, in a duo with Sam Amidon, and in a trio setting, and German Jazz Prize winner Olga Reznichenko, appearing solo, with CRUTCHES, and alongside the Parzhuber Trio.

Further highlights include Teis Semey, Perselí, Anatole Muster, Kathrin Pechlof and Damian Dalla Torre. Luise Volkmann premieres her new ensemble project Folk Stories, while the newly founded European collective KROM performs six concerts throughout the festival week.

Curated by Line Juul, Yousef Hilmy, Janning Trumann, Alfred Vogel and Hermes Villena, Cologne Jazzweek demonstrates how contemporary music can create connections across borders and bring new artistic perspectives to the city.
