On May 20, Flagey invites you to experience the fascinating sonic universe of harpist Brandee Younger live in Brussels.

Brandee Younger made history as the first Black woman nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition. A NAACP Image Award winner, she presents her new album Gadabout Season at Flagey — her most personal and exploratory work yet. Merging jazz, soul, hip-hop and electronic textures into an Afrofuturist soundscape, the album reflects joy, healing and artistic growth.

As The New York Times wrote: “No harpist thus far has been more capable of combining all of the modern harp traditions — from Salzedo, through Dorothy Ashby, through Alice Coltrane — with such strength, grace and commitment.”
