8th Melting Pot laboratory made in Wroclaw

The 8th Melting Pot laboratory took place on the 13-14 February 2016 in Wrocław, Poland, as part of a series of encounters between musicians of different European countries and artists of other fields, in this case puppets theatre, centred on the ideas of collective improvisation and of dialogue between different art forms.

The project is a collaboration between the National Forum of Music of Wrocław and many partners around Europe, it is supported by the Europe Jazz Network, through its grant from the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and takes place in the framework of the events for Wrocław, European Capital of Culture 2016.

The artists had one day of group rehearsals, that were as well open to the public, and then performed in the newly opened venue of the National Forum of Music. The final Melting Pot event will take place at the end of April 2016 and will see the involvement of many musicians and artists from the different laboratories of the project.
