For 50 years, the Leipziger Jazztage stand for openness, curiosity and the courage to explore musical boundaries. What began as a voluntary initiative in the GDR is now an internationally renowned platform for jazz and improvised music – organised by the Jazzclub Leipzig. To mark this major anniversary, festival pioneers such as Conny Bauer and Alexander von Schlippenbach will be joining international icons including Norma Winstone, Bill Frisell, Jason Moran and Joel Ross. They will be joined by young talents from across Europe and the Leipzig scene. 30 events across 13 venues.
