25th Marseille jazz des cinq continents festival: 1-13 July 2025

Look at the moon!

The programming of our Festival is a story. It tells each year how Jazz music travels the world, meets, invents, dialogues, rubs, exchanges, vibrates, contests, liberates…. This story, each time different and yet so coherent, draws its strength from our artistic line initiated 25 years ago. This story is intended for you and you make us happy to follow it. Know this, you are the reason for our Festival's existence. Thanks to your presence, the current flows and the magic can operate. Thus you participate in the diffusion of the wave of such courageous and generous artists. Courageous and generous, because they bare themselves at each concert, with their energy and their art to provoke what only living music can produce: moments where souls and bodies are in harmony. Marseille Jazz of the five continents lives from this promise and your loyalty.

So the Festival has changed a lot since its creation in 2000, our teams have changed, the techniques have changed, the modes of communication have changed. The world has changed and MarseilleJazz of the five continents, window on the world, accompanies these transformations. The more it transforms and the more it remains the same, it simply and naturally takes, each time, a step further. With new artists or new projects, with new sites, with a new environment, the whole team mobilizes, works hard to stay the course of these continual transformations.

We were born to offer a contemporary panorama of Jazz and today, in the heart of a troubled period, as the days go by which multiply the deleterious announcements, we affirm even more strongly the necessity of keeping this window open. This exhibition of current Jazz is visible here and our artists have something to say!! Thee Sacred Soul, Kokoroko, Tigran Hamasyan, Anne Paceo, Emile Parisien, Nubya Garcia, Antonio Lizana, Angles Morts, Zahia Ziouani, Alune Wade talk to us about today's world, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Youn SunNah, Erik Truffaz, Raphael Imbert, Ludivine Issambourg, Jocelyne Beroard and Tony Chasseur talk to us about today's jazz. In the most beautiful places, they offer us the opportunity to express our empathy and the simplicity of feeling pleasure.

They offer us the opportunity to take a step further together.
