BEZAU BEATZ 18th edition takes place from 7th to 10th August in the charming alpine village of Bezau, Austria.
The festival is famous for it´s intimate and atmospheric venues such as an old steam engine garage from the last century, a metal smith’s workshop, a chapel or a panoramic platform on 1650 m above sea level with a view over the Lake of Constance, the Swiss and Austrian Alps as well as south of Germany!
Over 20 bands will show up in Bezau with artists to discover as well as names which are quite well known in the world of more edgy, improvised, creative music.
Vogel´s programming pulls since years a growing crowd of musiclovers which are more open minded and less genre-bound. Surprise is the word of the hour: Max Stadtfeld´s STAX, String-Quartett PULSE feat. Tilo Weber, Felix Hauptmann´s SERPENTINE (with uprising names of the German Impro-Scene), Pauline Réage, SPACE from Sweden, Beatdenker´s SINULARIA, Witch´n´Monk, Felix Henkelhausen´s DERANGED PARTICLES, Benoît Delbecq solo, Liudas Mockunas WARD NO. 4, Kofi Quarshie´s AGOO GROUP from Ghana, STEMESEDER LILLINGER QUARTETT feat. Adam O´Farill and Jo Sanders a.m.m…
Vogel and his co-producer Valentin Schuster, both outstanding drummers themselves, will invite the audience to a promoter´s brunch with their very own up- and coming bands HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS? and CRUTCHES.
A lot of fun to be expected at a new series called SuBBwayZ (with very "underground-ish" music to discover), the LATE BEATZ at the lobby of HOTEL POST, a dance-and-impro workshop with Evi Filippou and Naima as well as the scenic DJ Ride with the steam engine through the landscape of the Bregenzerwald.
