The Cádiz Jazz Festival was founded in 2008 by the Asociación Qultura by the hand of Marina Fernández, who has been the Director since then. The festival made 5 editions in Museo de Cádiz and the Peña Flamenca La Perla. The next years the Festival moved to a bigger venue called Baluarte de Candelaria expanding the festival in the city. Pepe Dorado entered the organization in 2013 as part of the association and fundraiser.

In this 18 years of existence the JazzCádiz Festival has grown in content, budget and recognition consolidating itself as one of the best known festivals in Spain. Nowadays it offers more that 25 activities at the end of July, not only concerts but also master-classes, conferences, jam sessions and others, offering a complete cultural experience in the city of Cádiz.
