Media

Representation of general media nearly disappeared in the dominant print media, but on the other hand, the dominant print media has generally seen a diminished readership and the fragmented media landscape is a given nowadays. This does mean that it is somewhat harder to address the wider population, with the niche media reaching mostly those already dedicated.

Radio Študent

The most important media for jazz and related musical forms in Slovenia (though, jazz practitioners of a more traditional bent might have a dissenting opinion here). It is not only a radio, it is also an extensive web portal and podcast provider. It has one weekly, explicitly jazz dedicated show, but jazz (in terms of reviews, overviews, references and playlists) is a part of many of its other shows.

All three of the national radios occasionally deal with jazz music (at least by way of news), but Radio ARS is the only one that is consistently covering jazz and its outer reaches by way of regular specialised shows.
