Athens Conservatoire

The Athens Conservatoire is the oldest educational institution for the performing arts in modern Greece, founded as a non-profit organisation in 1871.  The institution continues to play a significant role in the advancement of music studies in Greece and has offered approximately 700 music students the full range of classical music studies, from the earliest stages to the concert diploma.  Constantly expanding into new areas, the Athens Conservatoire has a new Jazz Music Department.

Ionio University

The Department of Music Studies was established in Corfu in 1992.  It offers studies in composition, performance, and science (the development of archival research). For the last 15 years there has been a successful jazz programme, unique in higher education in Greece.

Philippos Nakas Conservatory

With 232 faculty members and 2,800 students, Philippos Nakas Conservatory is the largest conservatory in Greece.  PNC has trained many renowned prize-winning soloists, chamber, and orchestral musicians.  The most important jazz performers in the Greek music scene, including many Berklee alumni, are on staff in the contemporary jazz department.

Art Music School Fakanas

The Art Music School is considered the most experimented educational activities in the field of contemporary music and especially jazz, fusion, rock, and blues. Operating for 14 years, it provides education in modern, classical, and traditional music to hundreds of students.
