Authors Rights

The society for the collective management of neighbouring rights for performing artists in Belgium.



It collects neighbouring rights royalties for recordings that are broadcast, distributed or copied in Belgium and distributes these royalties among the performing artists.

 

Belgian society of authors, composers and publishers. Its purpose is the collection, distribution, administration and management (in the broadest sense of the term) of all copyrights in Belgium and in other countries where reciprocity contracts are concluded (with sister societies, i.e. with other collecting societies around the world).



Sabam is a private collecting society whose legal form is a SC. It is in no way a ministry or a parastatal society.

The only Belgian company for the collective management of the neighboring rights of music producers. More than 2,000 directly affiliated members and several reciprocity contracts with foreign management companies.
