EJN Staff Exchange Programme

This staff exchange was a wonderful experience for me. I learned a great deal and exchanged knowledge with different departments, including HR, administration, artistic programming, and general management. I attended meetings of the board of directors and team leaders, which allowed me to develop management skills, learn how to pitch ideas, and better understand budgets and the operational requirements that come with them.

I also learned a lot about reporting and how to assimilate data from communication, marketing, artistic programming, management, and facilities into one accessible reporting tool. At TivoliVredenburg, they use Salesforce, which I found very useful for further analysis related to budgets, real costs, marketing, and communication activities.

In addition, they shared insights into their production management processes and some aspects of marketing and communication. Overall, I gained a clear overview of their organisation and received valuable advice and practical tips to improve the functioning of a concert venue.

Finally, I would like to thank the EJN for giving me the opportunity to take part in this very educational and enriching experience. I would also like to thank the team at TivoliVredenburg, who were extremely kind, open, and informative.
