Upbeat, melodic jazz instrumentals from California

From 01 February 2019 to 30 June 2019
The Braxton Brothers (Nelson Braxton - Michael Bolton, Boz Scaggs, Ledisi; Wayne Braxton - Sheila E., Ledisi)

The Braxton Brothers first release went to #1 on radio across the U.S.  Since then they have released a total of 6 albums, all with a style of music that would fit the Smooth Jazz genre, but always with a unique approach that differentiates their music from all other artists.

Their key is "melody".  Jazz music as a whole encompasses improvisation, but the most legendary jazz songs have historically been those songs with great melodies.  Embrassing that fact, twin-brothers have always put melody first in their compositions. With a catalog of 70 original songs that have been released internationally,  their live performances have a significant library of melodies from which to choose.  They blend these melodies with a groovy, fun and urban-influenced feel to create a sound that fills the room with smiles and tapping toes!

Their latest CD, Higher, is making its way up radio charts and is also in rotation on premier networks such as Sirius/XM's Watercolors and the Smooth Jazz Network

Nelson Braxton (bass), has toured extensively in Europe with Michael Bolton, and Wayne Braxton (sax) has most recently toured in Europe with Sheila E.  Both brothers are excited to be able to bring their unique brand of rhythmic jazz to the people in Europe and beyond.

The brothers perform in a variety of configurations from duo (with backing track), to acoustic (4 piece), to full band.  "We love sharing our gift of music in whatever way we can," says Wayne.  Nelson adds, "We love to love people with our music!"
