Born in Rovereto (Trento) 7.8.1955.

He started studying music at the age of thirteen and began his professional activity in 1974.

He has played and recorded with: Marcello Melis, Antonello Salis, Enrico Rava, Danilo Terenzi, Paolo Fresu, Eugenio Colombo, Bruno Tommaso, Lester Bowie, Don Cherry, Don Pullen, Don Moye,Path Metheny,Trilok Gurtu, Mark Ribot.Mark Dresser,  Bill Russo, Gary Bartz, George Garzone, Billy Cobham, Albert Mangesdorff, Han Bennik, Elton Dean, Michel Godard, Steve Grossman, Bob Gullotti... and others.

He has partecipated in all the most important italian jazz festivals: Umbria Jazz, Clusone, Verona, Trento, Bari, Siena, Milano, Pompei, Jazz in Sardegna, Berchidda, Rocella Jonica, Noci, Ruvo, Roma and many concerts everywhere in Italy.

He has played in Germany (Stuttgart, Koln, Munchen, Frankfurt...), Holland (Den Haag, Amsterdam...), France (Paris, Le Mans, Nimes, Montpellier...), Spain (Guadalajara, Canary Islands), Slovenia (Lubiana), Austria (Innsbruck, Urlichsberg), Czech Rep. (Praha), Switzerland (Zurich, Basel, Bern...), Norway (Vossa Jazz), U.S.A. (New York, Chicago, Atlanta), Australia (Sidney, Melbourne, Brisbane), India (Jazz Yatra: Bombay, Bangalore, Hiderabad, Chandigarh), Japan, Marocco, GB,  Croazia ecc..

He is now performing with the following groups: Sandro Satta Trio, Pino Minafra Sud Ensemble, Duet with A.Salis, Meta Quartet, Giancarlo Schiaffini Quintet, Mediana, Tankio Band.
