Rosa Liz

Born in Natal, Rio Grande Do Norte, Brazil, singer Liz Rosa’s has captured the attention of listeners and critics worldwide with her interpretations of the classic Brazilian songbook. After establishing her presence in the northeast of Brazil, Liz moved to Rio de Janeiro to pursue the next levels of her musical development.

Since moving to Rio, Liz has performed in the most respected venues in the city: TribOz, Teatro Rival, Teatro Solar de Botafogo, Miranda and Sala Baden Powel, to name a few. Beyond sharing the stage with many of the premiere artists in Brazil she has also worked with known artists including João Bosco, João Donato, Leila Pinheiro and Roberto Menescal.

In celebration of 10 years in the professional music field, Liz recorded her debut album "LIZ ROSA" (distributed by Som Livre). The collaboration with internationally renowned guitarist, composer and arranger, Ricardo Silveira laid the framework from which the album was built. Liz’s influences from northeast Brazilian rhythms such as coco and baião work perfectly with the samba-jazz flavor that's presented throughout the album. The result transcends musical boundaries while still featuring a sophisticated, swinging Brazilian jazz atmosphere with lean and inspired arrangements.

Liz has appeared on TV programs "Som Brasil" (TV Globo) and "Talentos" (TV Câmara Federal) and has performed at Fest Bossa & jazz (Natal, Brazil), Vale do Café Jazz Festival (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Clube do Choro (Brasilia, Brazil), and was the only Brazilian artist at the Cotai Jazz & Blues Festival in 2013 in Macao, China and Festival International de Jazz de Punta del Este in 2016 in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
