Description:
The organization has founded in 1976 and yearly presents 30-35 concerts. We are also cooperating with another EJN member – Umeå Jazz Festival. The club is voluntarily driven and consists of 10 board members and app. 450 club members. Since mid 1990 our club is located in the Studio at the Umeå Folkets Hus and provides room for 280 in the audience. (Last year the average size of audience was 170 listeners). From 1976 to mid 1990 the club was located at Scarinska Villan, in that era driven by student organizations at the Umeå University. We have a program board that includes 4 persons – two men and two women. We have financial support from the local council and State Council of Culture.
