Cologne Jazzweek is the international jazz festival of the Cologne scene for jazz and improvised music.
It was founded in 2020 and took place for the first time in 2021. It presents around 45 concerts on over 15 stages throughout the city within 7 days in late summer. There is a festival team of five people, divided into management, office management, public relations and project management. The sponsor of Jazzstadt UG is the political interest group of the Cologne jazz scene, the Cologne Jazz Conference.
Sponsors are the city of Cologne and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. We recently have been awarded with the German Jazz Price as Festival of the Year 2023.
