The One Sound Association is a cultural association founded in 2017. Starting in the fall of 2018, it put the municipality of Baia Mare on the national jazz map with the One Jazz Festival, a cultural project appreciated by the public and artists. Currently, the local cultural offer is not very varied, the events organized by the association complement and diversify the cultural events in the area.
The One Sound Association has set itself the following objectives:
- Developing new interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches, combined with adapting to new technologies and diverse broadcasting platforms;
- Promoting jazz artists and bands from Romania and Europe;
- Developing and diversifying the target audience;
- Promoting music as a form of expression and implicit education. We want jazz to bring into discussion quality music that leads to the exchange of ideas and experience as well as to the coagulation, animation and involvement of the community; - Increasing the visibility of the festival.
