Description:
The ABUSUAN Association was born in Bari in 1998, and in the last 24 years proposed and implemented live shows, festivals, concerts, literary and cinematographic meetings, educational and training activities at the regional, national and international level. It acquired a strong centrality on the Apulian cultural scene, promoting encounters between the peoples of the Mediterranean and addressing through culture, music, cinema and the visual arts, the themes of conflict, migration, human rights, cultures declined in the plural, in a perspective of mutual recognition and rhythm.

Abusuan's intercultural project focuses on the construction and communication of knowledge, a commitment that does not stop at the mere staging of artistic expressions, but rather attempts a work of (re) composition and decomposition of gazes, so that every "point of vista” can reveal its exceptional nature and communicability.

The Bari in Jazz Festival, in the choice of the hybrid language of Jazz and in its cultural connotation aimed at experimentation and international artistic dialogue, fully reflects the cultural and historical pluriverse that ABUSUAN has cultivated in twenty years of activity and at the same time the identity of a Region that in its border and openness dimension Euro-Mediterranean legitimizes its protagonism and its natural positioning on gender.
